Evergreen Nursing Services is currently hiring for a full-time Registered and Licensed Practical Nurses for an exceptionally unique and rewarding position working two-to-one with a private client in their renovated, fully equipped properties in both West Vancouver (Year-round) & Langley (Seasonal; summer weekends).

We're hiring: A compassionate and reliable Licensed Practical Nurse who have (1) experience in Spinal Cord Injury and/or Intensive Care either in a hospital or rehabilitation center and/or (2) a strong interest in learning ventilator care. We are expanding a healthcare team to provide 24-hour in-home care for a client who sustained a high-level spinal cord injury in 2021. 

Role  & Schedule Available - Below are the current shifts available: 

• Friday Nights (20:00 - 08:00) - Ongoing
• Saturday & Sunday Night Shifts (20:00 - 08:00) - Maternity leave coverage until August 2025
• Candidates who can do some, but not all nights, are welcome to apply.

*Night shifts will always have two care team members working, typically two LPNs and/or RNs working together for 12 hour shifts.

Location: The client primarily lives in West Vancouver; however, lives part-time in Langley over the summer months (i.e. Wednesdays to Sundays). We are looking to create a team that consistently supports care in both or either location. Travel subsidies and accommodations may be available if needed. Opportunities to travel within BC are also available (all travel expenses paid).

Anticipated Start Date: As Soon As Possible

Compensation: *Weekend Night Shifts are offered at an incentivized rate; rates below are indicative of weekend nights shifts only.

• LPN Pay Scale: $47.75 to $50.50 per hour, dependent on experience
• 5% of annual salary provided towards RRSP
• Extended Health Benefits (for permanent positions 2 shifts/week or more; an option if shifts increase over time)
• 5 paid wellness days/year 
• 5 weeks vacation per year 
• Statutory holiday pay as per BCNU guidelines

Paid Training Provided:

• Ample training is provided
• Provincial Respiratory Outreach Program (PROP) Training
• 4 hours of online Evergreen & Client Specific Orientation
• Buddy/Training Shifts with experienced RNs/LPNs

Applicant Requirements: 

• Licensed Practical Nurse with full, non-restricted registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives
• Compassionate, collaborative and dedicated - can work independently and in a team
• Interest and experience in Spinal Cord Injury & Home Care is an asset
• Tracheostomy and ventilator experience is an asset
